Cupressus nootkatensis

Native tree of the Northwest from Alaska to Oregon, but commonly used in formal gardens or as a residential or commercial landscape tree in our region. This is a graceful slow growing tree with a narrow habit and flat pendulous branch appearance. Alaskan yellow cedar prefers wet-moist soils, full to part sun and can be found growing from the coast up to subalpine areas. Averages 80 120 tall at maturity. Zone 5
