Prunus x cistena

A very hardy low growing deciduous tree or bush reaching 7-10’. Retains its purple color all season making for a great contrast specimen in the landscape. Utility compatible and commonly used in multiples as a hedge or screen. Purple Sand Cherry produces bountiful spring flowers and a small crop of edible fruit in fall. Extremely hardy and durable grows best in Zones 3-7.
