Rubus coccinea

A large canopy tree growing up to 80’ with a spread of 40-50’, Scarlet oak grows relatively fast for an oak and has beautiful vibrant red fall color. It prefers full sun and dose well in most soil types with some drought tolerance. Scarlet oak is a great shade tree while letting some filtered light through, a native of the Eastern US and performs best in Zones 4-9.
